Growing up I was always so concerned about coloring in-between the lines. Making sure my work was always clean and polished. I didn’t realize my work looked so rigid and almost impersonal until a teacher pointed it out. She mentioned I try watercolor painting, as it is not very forgiving and does it’s own thing. At first I hated, almost loathed working with watercolor. I couldn't control it, the water was too organic. But after working with it over and over again, I have really come to love it’s unpredictability. Watercolor painting has taught me to go with the flow.
